What Iowa’s Future Football Schedules Look Like

The Hawkeyes have games set through 2025, per FBSchedules.That isn’t as many as some other programs have locked up. In recent weeks, we’ve seen games scheduled out into the 2030s, when it is almost guaranteed that most programs will not even have the same head coach.There’s at least a fair chance that Kirk Ferentz will still be in Iowa City five or six years down the line. Iowa also has a nine-game Big Ten slate, and a standing Power Five rivalry game in the non-conference.That takes up a lot of scheduling room.Here is what this year’s upcoming schedule looks like:Iowa football’s 2019 schedule:Aug. 31: vs. Miami (OH) Sept. 7: vs. Rutgers Sept. 14: at Iowa State Sept. 28: vs. Middle Tennessee Oct. 5: at Michigan Oct. 12: vs. Penn State Oct. 19: vs. Purdue Oct. 26: at Northwestern Nov. 9: at Wisconsin Nov. 16: vs. Minnesota Nov. 23: vs. Illinois Nov. 29: at NebraskaThe Big Ten has set dates for most of the upcoming season schedules as well.
