Disastrous France friendly leaves two injured in shocking defensive display

first_imgFrance were almost embarrassed by Spartak Moscow’s under-19s in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Sunday in a match that saw two of Didier Deschamps’ men limp off and raised a host of questions about their defensive depth.Olivier Giroud, Nabil Fekir and Blaise Matuidi all scored in a 3-2 win for a ‘B’ side but the performances of back-up defenders Benjamin Mendy and Presnel Kimpembe were a huge concern as wingers Fekir and Florian Thauvin suffered knocks.
