Umphrey’s McGee Goes Acoustic, Jams With All Of TAUK In Texas Finale

first_imgUmphrey’s McGee wrapped up a four-night run in the Southern US, with shows in Houston, Tulsa, Austin, and finally, Dallas. The band hit the House of Blues in Dallas, TX last night, pouring their hearts into one final Southern show with TAUK on as support.The show featured two power-packed sets, opening with “Lucid State” which jammed into “Get in The Van.” After a great pairing of “All In Time > Walletsworth,” guitarists Brendan Bayliss and Jake Cinninger for acoustic versions of “Gone for Good” and “Uncle Wally.” The set continued with “Utopian Fir,” with a “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath” jam, and a “Walk The Proud Land” with “Low Rider” teases.Watch footage of “Gone For Good” from Steve Moyles below:For the finale of the first set, the band brought out all four members of TAUK, Alric Carter, Charlie Dolan, Isaac Teel, and Matt Jalbert for a performance of “Booth Love.” Isaac Teel also returned in the encore, for a “Drums” jam session. With a second set “Bridgeless” sandwich with “2×2,” “Mulche’s Odyssey,” “August,” “Final Word” and Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmir,” the band was on fire for the whole night.
